GLUOS @ Meeting Rimini 2018 with Marche Region
Monday 20th of August, Dr. Michele Mari has been invited at Meeting Rimini 2018 to talk about young entrepreneurship, start ups, spin offs and how academic research can generate innovation and business. The invitation came from Loretta Bravi, Councilor of Marche Region, delegate to university, education, professional training and work (In the Picture Michele Mari with Loretta Bravi).
The presentation of GLUOS caught the attention of a lot of people in the space reserved for Marche Region. Michele spent the whole day at the stand and will be available there also this thursday (23rd of August).

During the last two weeks Kerry Nevins, student at the James Madison University, has been visiting GLUOS several times, he created this very nice video about Dr. Michele Mari and our company GLUOS. He is working on a project about unemployment in our area and wanted to tell the story of our start up coming from Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo Labs and UniurbLab contamination Lab (Terza Missione – Università di Urbino) in his project for a multimedia package for the online magazine “Urbino Now”.

GLUOS meets Hanoi University
A nice visit today at GLUOS, our President Michele Mari met Ngô Xuân Hiếu, Director of Student Affairs and Business Relations of University of Hanoi, Vietnam. Ngô Xuân Hiếu is visiting Urbino and University of Urbino Carlo Bo in his Erasmus Staff week to envision different initiatives from our university involving the “third mission” and traineeships. In his experience he is meeting also some local companies and visited GLUOS, to point out how a university spin off company works, an occasion to visit also the historical School of Pharmacy, where GLUOS is located.

GLUOS meets Matteo Renzi to talk about Start Ups in the “Destinazione Italia” tour in Fano
This morning (18/10/2017) Michele Mari, President of the Board of Directors of GLUOS S.r.l., has been invited to present the company and to talk about the problems and difficulties of a young start up in the italian panorama.
Matteo Renzi (Ex-Premier and Leader of the italian Democratic Party) is touring the country to learn about the excellence and the problems of all the territories, during this informal visit the Rector of University of Urbino Prof. Vilberto Stocchi talked about our university and the problems of the italian system, followed by Prof. Mauro Magnani that presented two well-established companies coming from the University of Urbino: Diatheva and Erydel.
Finally Dr. Michele Mari presented our company and showed the difficulties that young Start Ups have to face in their initial stage, in particular the need of easier loans to buy high-tech instruments, the lack of investors in the national panorama, the opportunity to hire highly specialized people and the lack of a powerful broadband connection in the country.
Finally Matteo Renzi, made a summary of our proposals and a few words and ideas about these topics.
GLUOS at iEER Marche
Dr. Michele Mari presented the company at the iEER Learning Camp Marche at UnivPM in Ancona on the 27th of September. iEER is an European project to Boost entrepreneurial ecosystems in different regions for young entrepreneurs.
